Rainstorms, Teddy Bears, and Macaroni and Cheese!

It feels like we've all the sudden hit a "fast track" of some kind in Annalyn's developement. She suprises me everyday, it seems, with something new! She's learned to hand items to me when I ask for them (and sometimes when I don't). She has started signing "more" at mealtimes, and attempted eating with a spoon a couple of times.

The other day we were at the neighbors' house hanging out, when their dad got home. Annalyn walked toward the door and said, "Hi" as plain as day. She did it several more times upon request and suprised me with her "Hi" again when we answered a video chat with my family. How smart! Today I asked her to get her "teddy bear" and she walked into the other room, got it, and brought it back to me! It's amazing how much she understands!! These are just a few of many new fun things - I just can't believe she's almost a year old! She still loves saying "daddy" and "doggy" and has even thrown a few "ma ma"s in there just for me!

Oh she is a joy and I love her so much!

A few things she likes right now are:

Being Outside...ALL THE TIME! And she usually wants to "walk herself" - it's not as much fun to sit in the stroller anymore.

Her "teddy bears" (we haven't named them yet. Thanks to the Williams for the white one and Aunt Glenda for the brown one. Crazy that they are the same bear, but came from two different people in two different states!) SHE LOVES THEM!

She sleeps hugging them every night, and she loves to chew on them and carry them around.

Loves her trike from G & G Oldham!

Loves Macaroni and Cheese (just food in general, really)

Notice how she hooks her toes onto the tray while she eats.

P.S. Does anyone read this? Sometime I feel like I'm posting for myself (which isn't all bad of course), but sometime I wonder...

you are getting into my favorite baby stage about one to 18 months is just too fun all the time. She is looking more toddler-ish rather than baby-ish.

I read it! Sometimes I wonder how many people actually look at mine since it is private. I'm so glad Annalyn likes the teddy we gave her!

I read it! However I just don't usually comment cause Kylie is running around getting into things all the time. We need to baby proof better! Annalyn sure is cute though! I would love to get our two girls together! She only hangs out with boys here. Poor girl!

I always check your blog to see updates. My second baby is exactly one month younger than yours, so it's nice to see what is around the bend developmentally, etc. It's funny how you forget when things happen on the baby timeline even if you have more than one.

But more in particular, I frequent a lot of blogs of young, "just-out-of college", hands-full-of-babies kind of mommies. It helps me realize that my crazy life is normal for this season of life.

LOL, I think the same thing about my blog too sometimes!
What a great little walker!!! She is so big (Kaydence didn't start walking until she was fourteen and a half months old)! I remember being so surprised when Kaydence would just start learning something new everyday and she would understand what I was asking her to do, its so crazy! Annalyn really is such a cutie and you are such a cute mommy Sherise!
