Christmas is coming...

Well, IT'S DECEMBrrrrrr and that means Christmas!! Just a quick recap of the last couple weeks:
1) IT SNOWED IN TEXAS!!
Annalyn just stared at it...then after the initial shock she wanted to touch it until she realized it was cold and then she just wanted to go back inside. The snow stayed for a whole 20 hours of so and melted the next morning!
2) We decorated the house for the holidays!
This is the first year we bought a fake tree and I've loved it! Plus I now have a cute mantle to hang the stockings from!

3) Annalyn has a new toy...the TREE!
4) We even put cute colored lights on the house!
Now all the shopping is done and most of the gifts are wrapped. We're just looking forward to a relaxing holiday together as a family. We're so grateful for this time of year! Mostly we are grateful for our Savior, for whom we celebrate this wonderful season!

Like Mother ~ Like Daughter

Who's Who?
Here is a picture of Annalyn at 8 months old
Here is a picture of Mommy at 7 months old
Thanks mom for sending me the dress! It's so fun to have these memories!

Also, my Annalyn got her 1st TOP TOOTH yesterday and this was a darling picture of all 3 teeth and her cute chubby cheeks. I had to share it!

Here's an adorable video of Annalyn and her cousin Kaitlyn at Thanksgiving. Notice how Annalyn sees the camera and "cheez's" it for ya! Priceless!
Here is Annalyn with Santa at our Neighborhood Christmas Party! Look at that smile!
Merry Christmas to y'all!

Twilight and Santa Claus

Okay, Good Morning everyone! So who's seen New Moon? Thanks to my girlfriends for going to the midnight movie with me! It was such a blast to hang out with y'all!
It was raining Thursday night which really reminded me of last November hanging with my girlfriends in Washington and watching Twilight! I miss all you guys! For old times sake - here's some pics in memory of my Twilight movie beginnings! (Wow - I was pregnant last year. That feels like it was FOREVER AGO!)

As for the movie - I really liked it!

Moving on...
Thursday night Annalyn and I went to the City of Katy Tree Lighting! It was so fun! Here's pic of Annalyn with Santa.

A lot of other babies were crying and screaming on Santa's lap - My Annalyn...not even close.

I set her on Santa's lap and all she wanted to do was pull on his beard (which was real btw). It was so cute. When he finally held her hands down for the picture she was like, "hey buddy - what you doin?" It was so cute!

Here's some pics of us by the tree - it was massive so I cut the pic down to size and you can only see lights behind us, but I thought it was really cute of my Annalyn!

Here's Annalyn with the free stuffed cow she got from Chick-fil-a! She loved it!

Happy Halloween 2009!

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Love,
Little Bo Peep and her Cute Little Sheep!
My happy little lamb at the Ward Dinner and Trunk-or-Treat!
Look at her two little teeth!
Annalyn's not too sure about this holiday...she didn't love the hood to her costume much - that's for sure :-)
20+ years ago my mom took a bag of cotton balls and dressed my sister Dawni and I as sheep (cheap yet effective) and she went as Little Bo Peep. Well, here I am 20+ years later recreating it with my own little girl! I used a bag of cotton balls, an old white onesie, and some hot glue! (The pink was my own *Sherise can't resist* touch)
Here is Annalyn "high-centered" under the table at the Ward Chili Cook Off!
Annalyn fell asleep in carseat on the way home - the epitome of precious!
Thanks mom for sending me your dress! It was so fun to recreate this memory wearing the same dress that you wore! It was actually really fun to dress up!

So here's Annalyn's Halloween Day Outfit! Awwww! Here's Annalyn with my friend's husband Ryan - they bonded! (I love how Ryan hiked her pants up to her armpits...my very own "urkle" - haha) Here's Annalyn's buddies - Thanks guys for sharing Halloween dinner with us! Then we went trick-or-treating with them around the neighborhood.

(Translation: we watched the boys go up to the door and get candy. I figured if Annalyn got candy, I would just end up eating all of it and that didn't sound like a very good idea. Why tempt myself right?) Well, lo and behold... Keaton dropped his grape sucker on the floor after we got home and Annalyn was on it like a fly on manure (okay that's a bad analogy...but it'll have to do). Seriously though, I have never seen her crawl so fast. She got to it before I could stop her and thus we see the result. Halloween has now become her favorite holiday!! I let her suck on it long enough to get a picture and then took it away - oh priceless!
Another "thus we see"--- here is what happens when you go Old Navy Sale Shopping with your best friend! Loved it Emily! Thanks for helping me pick out that shirt!

Happy Halloween from Sherise, Travis, and Annalyn! Hope yours was "spooklacular!!"

We're Back!

Here's a quick overview of Princess Annalyn during her 6th month of life. We've been having computer trouble way out here in Katy, but voila...Comcast to the rescue!! We're back and we've got a whole lot of pictures of this cute little girl to share!
Quick Recap of the last month:
  • Annalyn has mastered the crawling stuff (alot), she "gorilla" crawls on her hands and feet often instead of her knees - Trav says she looks like a wounded duck, but I think it's adorable!
  • She got her two bottom teeth and they are so adorable!
  • She pulls herself up on to everything!
  • She chased a spider across the floor the other day.
  • She LOVES DOGS!
  • She LOVES fruit, but still likes her veggies. Loves cottage cheese and yogurt!
  • She likes to walk when I'm holding her hands
  • She loves hearing her Daddy's voice on the phone!
  • She loves to snuggle when she's tired and gives the biggest smiles to everyone she sees!
  • I know there's more, but that's it for now folks!
Loving her Johnny Jump Up (in the kitchen pantry doorway - I know...wierd)
Yes, this is my little princess at her finest! She loves to eat crackers now (translation...she gums the cracker to death and drops it several times because it is slimy - by the end there is nasty sticky cracker GOO all over her, her chair, and the floor...I love her smile! Oh yeah, and any time she sees a spoon she wants to hold it herself)
Me and Daddy before he left for work one morning!

Just playing with my toys ... what you lookin' at?

So here are the stats as of Annalyn's 6 month appointment:

18 lbs. 15oz. --- 93rd percentile
26 1/2 inches long --- 78th percentile

Her head is catching up with the rest of her though - finally in the 55th percentile instead of the 25th! We love 'em healthy!

Just hanging with Mommy - we're bestest buds!

Annalyn eats her toes all the time! Sometimes I'm suprised she can reach them.

Me and My Daddy just playing on the floor

She loves her exersaucer - look at that smile!

She got her two bottom teeth this month! Here she is playing on the floor with Mommy (yes, I have to keep my floor really clean now...it's a constant process)

In her bumbo chair (yes it's on the counter which "technically" is against the "rules") but she's eating an apple and loving it - just look at that smile! Don't worry I was there the whole time and she was so cute!!

With my Mommy and Daddy! I can say "ma ma" and "da da" now! I also say "ya ya ya" and "ba ba" and have learned to blow raspberries which my Mommy thinks is SO FUNNY! (Seriously, this girl makes sounds I can't make if I try --- yes I've tried --- she does an AWESOME elephant noise that I REALLY can't do, Trav laughs at me when I try)

Melts my heart!

She loves books -- mostly to chew on these days, but we try to get some reading done also.

"FLYING" with Daddy! We love it when he's home to spend time with us!

Me and Mommy in our jammies (notice Mommy has sweatpants on...IN TEXAS!! Yes it actually does get kinda cold here)

So this last weekend we carved our pumpkin! It is ritual every year to watch "The Burbs" with Tom Hanks, while Mommy cleans the pumpking and Daddy carves it! Love the headlamp Daddy! He is so HARDCORE!

Here's Mommy cleaning out the "guts"

Pretty SWEET HUH? And speaking of sweet...

This is what Annalyn did while Mommy was up to her elbows in "pumpkin guts" .... just sitting on the floor looking as cute as a little....something that's really REALLY STINKIN' CUTE!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
