Welcome to my world!

So today was a very good day!
Most of my days are, but today was exceptionally good.
Annalyn woke up happy as a clam at 8:00am. I love laying in bed just listening to her "talk" to herself in her crib. We both ate breakfast and I cleaned the kitchen while she played in her saucer. Then Annalyn laid on a blanket on the floor rolling over and grabbing her toys while I vaccuumed. Annalyn loves the sound of the vaccuum. (Am I spelling that right? It looks wrong...hmmm...) Anyway, My Annalyn then took a nap at 10:00 while I worked on a craft project. Ahhh the life! Here's a pic of the finished product!
Then at 12:00 we're off to lunch. Here's some pics of what lunch looks like these days.
MESSY MISS ANNALYN started solid foods a few weeks ago. Since then I have learned that she absolutely hates rice cereal, loves peas, butternut squash, and applesauce. She also hates sweet potatoes and bananas of all things. It's a slow process, but has been so fun to watch her finally get the hang of it. Her new thing is to grab the spoon and shove it in her own mouth and then not let go. Usually we end up with food all over her, me, and the high chair! Thank goodness for waterproof bibs with a catch-all pocket!! (NOT PICTURED)

Annalyn and I played on the back porch because she loves being outside and then she sat in her new bumbo chair while I cleaned the bathroom. What a great invention!

After singing time (which sounds like church I know, but Annalyn loves music and singing), she went down for her afternoon nap at 2:00pm. I finished vaccuuming the house, swept all the tile floors (I have a lot of tile), did some laundry, paid some bills, and cleaned up piles of papers. Then spent a few minutes checking my e-mail and oh yeah -
getting remotely ready for the day!
Such is the life of a mom whose husband is away on business!

Well, Annalyn took a very long nap. She finally awoke at 4:30pm happy as a clam like usual. We sloshed our way through her dinnertime mess and then we skyped (online video chat) with my family in Idaho! Annalyn loves to see her Aunts and Grandma!

Then we were off to the pool! Our nightly ritual these days. Annalyn LOVES it! She's starting to really kick her legs and splash with her arms. We spent an hour there and then it was home to a bath, food, scriptures, and bed. (This is pic of bathtime while daddy was home a few weekends ago)

Ahhh, I love life! I know, it sounds exciting huh? The only thing that could make it better is if daddy could come home and hang out with us after work! This work trip has been long and we miss him, but YEAH!
He's coming home TOMORROW!
We've missed you sweetheart!

Now my darling little girl is dreaming sweet dreams and I'm catching up on whatever I please before I go to bed and do it all over again.
Happy Wednesday Evening to all you other moms out there enjoying a minute to yourselves.

AWWWW! I have skype! I want to see you and your sweet baby on Skype!!! I'm glad you're enjoying being a mom so much.... But I nev er had any doubts that you would! And as far as your husband being gone all the time... MAN, it's almost like the military! Haven't seen David in over a week now... it's not fun at all. But at least Annalyn keeps you busy. Did I ever tell you that I want to name my first girl Emmalyn? Similar isn't it? What was the name of the boy going to be, before Annalyn surprised you? p.s. check out my blog for my photography business I opened! www.RebeccaAnnePhotos.com

Love it! You know I can totally understand her dislike of bananas. My kids took a while to warm up to it too. And when I was pregnant with Brandon, I tried feeding some to Rachel and almost threw up when I opened the jar because they stink! It's funny that she likes peas though. I love the craft you did with her name. So cute!

No, my business is just under my full name. I still go by Becky:) I would advise checking out any of the books or material by Bryan Peterson, and going to www.merakohblog.com and reading through her posts as far back as you can. Both are GREAT sources for photography information.
