If she's anything like her sister, that personality will just get bigger and bigger!
It's nice to have family close enough to spend the holidays. Annalyn got a little play kitchen from Santa and a shopping cart and play food from mom and dad. She made the holidays magical. Look at that smile!
3) We planted a garden! It's crazy to think of planting in February because of where we grew up, but here in Texas we were just hoping we didn't plant too late. We planted strawberries, cilantro, asparagus, peas, beans, tomatoes, green pepper, zuccini, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuce.
4) Our garden didn't yield much and is now dead - pat on the back for our first attempt I guess.
5) We bought some bunkbeds! Annalyn now has a big-girl bed. She is still adjusting to sleeping in a new room We're still working on that, but when it's all done it'll be a cute girlie room for Annalyn with room for Abigail when she's ready!
6) My sister came to visit! Hannah came to stay for 9 days at the end of March. Great to have some family join us in TX and loved catching up on some scrapbooking with Hannah for great company! Thanks for coming down girl!
7) Annalyn turned 2! Our gorgeous April Fools baby isn't a baby anymore. Instead of a party we took her camping for her special day. Aunt Hannah came with us too. Not real camping because of course I was pregnant, but we went to a little place called Jellystone Park about 40 minutes from here and stayed the night in a cabin. Annalyn got to meet Yogi Bear, swim in the pool and go on watersides, play in comfy land, and cook over a fire! She's talked about it ever since and keeps asking to "go back a Yogi Bear park?"
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! What a great 2 years it's been!
8) My 2nd attempt at a birthday cake for Annalyn - I think it turned out much better than year #1. You can judge for yourself. Annalyn seemed to like it. Thanks Hannah for helping me with it! Annalyn liked the castle (she called it a temple). My favorite part was the teddy grahams tubing in the mote!
Last year's cake...oh the joys of a 98 cent cake mix!
9) 2 week trip to Idaho in May! Trav was working on assignment up there and Annalyn and I were lonely. It was wonderful to see Daddy! Thanks to the Rawsons and Oldhams for a wonderful time! It was so nice to relax before heading home to get ready for Abigail to come. However, I vowed I would never fly when I'm that pregnant ever again ;-) Someone remind me that I said that if I ever get crazy notion to try it again.
Favorite pic of from the trip - Good ol' Jensen's Grove Blackfoot, ID!
10) Daddy came home! We sure miss him when he has to travel!
11) ABIGAIL ANN WAS BORN! Labor was much easier than my 1st time around - epidural worked the first time which was a major plus! Natural delivery after only 9 hours of labor (better than 14 hours with Annalyn). Wonderful doctor & nurses! Don't think I'd call labor an enjoyable experience, but this was as close as I think you could come. What a wonderful moment in our lives!
12) I'm no longer PREGNANT! I do love being pregnant, but I REALLY love it when I'm done! 20 WEEKS
40 WEEKS
13) My brother got married...FINALLY! We made the trip to San Diego, California for Jed's wedding when Abigail was just 4 weeks old. Wonderful whirlwind trip, but so glad we were there to be part of it! It was a perfect day. Congrats to my Jedee and my new sister Michelle! I haven't seen a happier more beautiful couple in my life (besides me and my sweetheart of course :-). Love you guys!
Pretty one of Aunt Hannah with Abby!
14) Abigail's blessing and a visit from the other Oldhams! Abby was blessed on August 7th and Trav's parents came in for it. Thanks to Jeff, Nell, Kaitlyn, and Will for coming from San Antonio. And another thanks to Jared, Melissa and their family for driving down from Austin. We loved sharing such a special day with y'all! And a HUGE THANKS to Aunt Nyla for sewing the blessing dress! Gorgeous!
Travis with his girls!
Daddy's Girl!
Annalyn especially loved spending the week with Grandpa and Grandma O! She had more trips to the park than I've given her in the last 6 weeks combined. Several trips to the pool and some long-overdue work around the house and then the week was over. It flew by, but we are so grateful for the time we did have! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU GRANDPA AND GRANDMA O!
15) We bought a new computer! Finally after almost a year of saving and waiting and dealing with our old dinosaur! Our new mac is set up and working. (Can I blame my absence from the blogging world on how slow and awful our old computer was?) Well, even if that sounds like a cop out, I've had the new computer for only a couple days and I'm updating. Obviously the computer had something to do with it.
16) We've spent a lot of time swimming - Texas is hot!
And for the most part I think that catches us up. Whew!
